Label printing

Hey folks,

I know similar questions have been asked before, and I tried searching but there's nothing that quite fits my question, so I'm asking it!

I'm doing some homebrew for my wedding and want to get some labels for it printed. I've seen a lot of people saying they print them themselves, but I don't have access to a colour laser printer, and I think inkjet would look a bit naff.

I've seen companies like Vistaprint will do labels, but I'm concerned they're not going to be great. And then I've found proper printers who will do them but there's so many options on what paper to get, etc.

Can anyone recommend printers where they've been really happy with the result? I don't mind paying a little bit extra for something that is pro. I want these beers to be something the guests will want to take away with them and keep.

I use a company called Ganda Media for all my BBQ printing (banners etc). Might be worth speaking to Charlie at Ganda Media (charlie@gandamediasolutions.com) They'll work up the photoshop stuff for you as well as the printing. They did my team logo as well. Highly recommended.

Whatever printer you go for it's worth going for polymer labels. So much nicer. Doesn't ripple in the fridge, you can get easypeel ones. Just great.

It's worth checking out the cheap laser colour printers. You can get a cheap 2400*600 for not much cash- I worry getting some labels printed professionally might end up costing more. The main advantage I reckon of professional printing is you can get stuff printed on a label roll for a bottle auto-labeller....

I just print my labels at work on a 2400dpi colour laser. Think the printer itself cost about £100. Keep it SVG and you're golden.

Staffordshire brewing supplies will print and set up labels for you. Cost around 30 quid for 200 labels and 5 quid set up fee. The killer is the postage it starts at 12 quid I believe. They sell malt tho as well
