Just sorting out two kegs in the fridge and I've got a question that should be simple - but doesn't seem to be answered anywhere. I'm sure someone will tell me, cos it's really simple.
I'm planning on running two kegs off the same regulator. I've got a splitter, so good to go there.
My question is this:
Are the gas line ball lock quick connects self sealing, so I can run one keg at a time or both, or do I need to add an additional isolator when I'm only running one keg?
For the life of me I can't find the answer anywhere.

Re: Daft question
Connects only pass gas when connected. Running one corny will be fine.

Re: Daft question
I would check them 1st as mine will leak gas very slowly if not connected.

Re: Daft question
One of my disconnects leaked from the pin, a spray of starsan showed the leak.
A quick dismantle and reseat and all was good.

Re: Daft question
a lil inline tap is worthwhile, dropping a bottle of co2 overnight to a leak will always happen the night before you have invited folk round for a session resulting in a mad co2 dash ..
fwiw a few things you probably already know..
when shopping searching online, taps in the gas world are 'cocks'
3/8" od beerline has a 1/4" id so 1/4" hosetail fittings are a good fit when secured with a C or Jubilee clip
avoid kinks in beerline as they can form neucleation points resulting in excess foam when pouring.
Ditto for non-square beerline cuts.. cut beerline square with a razor sharp blade, dont be tempted to snip with scissors as they can deform the tube prior to cutting resulting in an off sqaure edge cut, and when pushed into a JG fitting wont sit flush against the pipestop.

Hmm....
One ball lok connector is fine but for the life of me, I can't get the other to seal when not connected.
Think I might need some isolation valves. Any suggestions?

Re: Daft question
you can disassemble the disconnect, the Big X in the cap IS a screwdriver slot
just be mindful there is s spring under the cap so care needs to be taken not to loose bits to the other side of the room.. google should fing you a break down diagram or utube
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=corny ... e&ie=UTF-8
imho disconnects are ok to trust between keg swaps and any cleaning, but not for any length of time..
