Get it as cold as possible and 3/16 with plenty of line length will do the trick.

That will certainly work in a practical sense, if the pressure is reduced accordingly with the temperature (so that it doesn't become over-carbonated). But also worth bearing in mind: it is generally considered inappropriate for most British styles of beer to be served very cold, robbing them of their authentic style and flavour. So it partly depends on what is in the keg and on individual preference; it wouldn't be a suitable solution for everyone sadly.

You could just go easy on the carbonation in the first place, you can always add more.
