Corny keg setup questions...

Hi all,

I have spent the entire afternoon trying to figure out how to set up my corny keg and I think I'm getting there. A couple of years ago I bought this lot but never ended up using it: http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/container ... -set.html. I therefore have:

2 x corny kegs
1 x grey gas in quick disconnect w/ John Guest 3/8 speedfit connector
1 x black beer out quick disconnect NO SPEEDFIT CONNECTOR
1 x regulator
1 x tap
No gas / beer line (moved house recently and it's not with the rest of my brewing stuff!)

Having spent the afternoon on YouTube and various forums, I think I've figured out all the bits of the corny keg and how they fit together. HOWEVER I can't find information on the following. I am the least practical person in the world so any assistance in words of one syllable would be much appreciated!

1. How do I connect the regulator to the gas in line?

The regulator came with a barb-type fitting which you can see in the picture here: http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/co2-regulator.html. However there's no o-ring between the bit which screws onto the regulator and the barb - should there be? If so, what size? After that, I assume you just put the hose over the barb and use the jubilee clip to ensure a seal?

2. How do I attach the gas line to the quick disconnect? Do you literally just push it in to the speedfit connector? (I know this sounds dumb but see above comment about being the least practical person in the world!)

3. How do I attach the beer out line to the quick disconnect? Should another 3/8 speedfit connector have been included?

4. How do I attach the beer out line to the tap? The tap can screw directly on to the beer out QD so would I need one of these? http://www.stonehelm.co.uk/Equipment/Be ... areAdaptor

5. If you look at the tap in this link http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/container ... -taps.html, it looks like there's a bit missing from the end - is there? If so, what is it and where can I buy it? Taps are usually pointy at the end aren't they?

I hope that these are easy questions and that someone feels like helping me out? Slightly ashamed of myself for having to ask them!

PS Can someone also tell me if I need to mount my tap on something to dispense the beer? If so, what and how??
