Conditioning in a PB

Post by gibbiem » Sat Mar 22, 2014 6:54 pm

Wondering if I can add brew to a PB and prime with sugar then condition in the PB and then bottle from there? if not, what is the process for not bottle conditioning? for example a commercial beer that you can buy in a bottle but wasnt bottle conditioned, like Fosters Gold. Cheers

I've done that before (with the odd bottle), though you don't get a high carbonation level in the bottle.

Commercial beers are bottled under pressure - there's a device available from Blichmann called a 'beer gun' that can be used at home to fill bottles with ready carbonated beer, e.g. from a keg. However, you need a CO2 bottle and regulator to use it.
