Cornelius Dip Tube
Cornelius Dip Tube
I am new to Cornelius Kegs do I need to shorten dip tube, bend it or add some kind of filter to stop sediment being drawn into the dip tube then my beer??
Re: Cornelius Dip Tube
Hi, shortening the dip tube is optional. If you carbonate artificially in the cornie it's unneccessary but if you expect a lot of sediment from secondary fermentation it's worth doing. I haven't shortened mine and have no problem with sediment coming through.
Re: Cornelius Dip Tube
If your not going to be moving your cornies once they are full by the time they are carbonated most of the sediment will have dropped to the bottom. So your first 1/3 pint will be sedimenty but after that they will be pretty clear.
