I have never had much success when bottling beer, it usually ends up completely flat or with very few bubbles. This is due to living in a cold house with no airing cupboard, or room, where the temperature is consistently warm (the heaters are off most of the day). It doesn't seem to be an issue with my King Kegs, just bottles.
I have just bought a fish tank immersion heater for fermenting and was thinking of getting some sort of tub that I can fill with water to stand the bottles in and plonking the heater in there for a week or so. This will also be peace of mind as I can place them in the shed, just in case of any over-priming accidents!
What would be the ideal temperature to set the heater at to get the bottles primed, the same as the fermentation or a bit warmer?
