Can I save my beer?

Post by Fuggley Duckling » Sun Jul 20, 2014 8:50 am

Not really sure where to post this, but as it is dispensing related I'll stick it here.

I was tapping a brewferm mini keg and the tap broke, releasing all the pressure. Can I salvage my beer by adding more dextrose and sticking another bung in it until I get a replacement tap or is it destined for the drain? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers :)

It should be fine if you reprime with dextrose as you say.

(Assuming this is homebrew you have in the mini keg!)

Yep, it's homebrew. Thanks for the help Jim, I've re-primed and sealed with a bung :)

Now to try and get my hands on one of the more sturdy metal taps. I can't find them for sale anywhere, have emailed Fass Frisch to see if I can buy direct.

Cheers.
