Hi. I have replaced my standard S30 valves on my King Kegs with new pin valves as I can't find the Hambleton Bard type Co2 cylinders here in France. However, Iv'e also discovered that the one shot Co2 gas bulbs aren't that common either. There are though plenty of Nitrogen bulbs here. Would it be o.k to use nitrogen instead of Co2 to charge my barrels? Is it likely to cause any problems?
Thanks,
Sonic
Nitrogen instead of Co2
Re: Nitrogen instead of Co2
Will be fine
just makes the beer creamy as the nitrogen produces smaller bubbles

Cheers and gone,

Re: Nitrogen instead of Co2
Yeah, in fact with porters and stouts nitrogen is recommended.
Best wishes
