Got me cornie up and running today

Post by NobbyIPA » Fri Aug 08, 2014 2:27 am

well got my regulator today
so have set it up with my cornie gas and tetley tap

prior to gassing up i removed the smooth flow restrictor plate from the Tetley pump

then piped it all up
i used 3/8 reducer and attatched 3 metres of 3/16 beer line to that the tetley tap
which now is nobby'snut's brewery red punk at the moment which
the red punk is going into dry hop mode tomorrow :D
Image

so i half filled the cornie keg with 3 scoops of oxy
and swished around a bit
then i had to chain up the gas cylinder and i secured the regulator to a bass speaker box and chained that to the wall also

then connected the cornie up

Imagepressured up to 10 psi
released the shut off valve and pulled a few pints of oxy
:electric: :D all works great
I THOUGHT :nono:
music stopped and in the background could hear dripping
found the culprit
the john guest fitting in the tap had failed
so i popped it open to find the sealing gasket rubber was damaged
so replaced with a new one and now its beer tight up and ready for my red punk
after the oxy and rinse i third filled with star san
and ran a bit through the system ready for me next brew
so once my brew is done i will be adjusting my brew fridge to accommodate the cornie and pipe work etc
