Hi all. Just come across these. Any good for home brew? Are these cheap?

Home bargains also sell them separately for 99p each, so I bought 4 for making water kefir, which can get REALLY fizzy. Got them home and saw the small print on the neck label -" Not suitable for carbonated drinks". I gave them a go anyway, no explosions yet but the clip mechanism on the neck is really shoddy made compared to the Ikea ones which are much better. I wouldn't put beer or cider in them. The base thickness is very uneven too - I reckon they are seconds.

try them if this link works
I use these. The only variation between my expensive ones and these are thickness, they are slightly thinner, and the stoppers are plastic rather than ceramic. No issues with holding pressure though, would recommend!

I bought 4 packs of these to use when my kegs are full. No problems and holds pressure ok.

other option is to look on ebay.i bought 100 500ml for a tenner but its a hassle capping them all

Thanks for that Dave. I'm up in Bradford next weekend and ordered some bottles off this bloke. Less than 10p each. Bargain!

He did the same for me. Unfortunately, I have ended up slinging the lot into the recycle bin after breaking too many to entrust my beer to (they were Koppaberg bottles; three broke while cleaning - and they took a LOT of cleaning! I must have broken five while capping)

It's really galling having to chuck away five pints of your own beer!

Oh well; it's nobody's fault really. You live and learn!
