Wilko's pressure barrels

Post by Manngold » Sun Aug 24, 2014 7:40 pm

Hi all,

I couldn't face washing 40+ bottles over the bank holiday weekend and then sanitising them, so decided to buy a Wilko's pressure barrel (thought the price of £18 was pretty good). It is white plastic, and I can see the beer in it. Do I need to keep it in the dark, or put a bin liner over it, or should I not worry about the light getting to it. It is currently sitting in the bath tub, as I would have for it to leak.

Thanks for the advice.

John

you should be ok as is as long as its not sat in direct sunlight, a dark cooler shady corner is best..

if in direct sunlight is your only option then a shade made from something more substantial like old cardboard would be better.
ist update for months n months..

Thanks Fil. I will cover it with a towel! At least it will look the part (it is sat in the bath tub!).
