Picture Request - Polypins, Minikegs and Bottles
Hi there,
I'm writing an article on dispensing homebrew for my local CAMRA magazine and obviously I can't send in pictures of my kegs. Can someone be kind enough to furnish me with a few pictures of their polypins, bottles and minikeg set-ups so that I can add some colour to my piece as well as names to credit please?
Cheers,
CJR

I think you should include kegs. It is after all how a lot of homebrewers dispense beer.

I do understand that and I keg my brews too. The problem is that CAMRA being CAMRA...GrowlingDogBeer wrote:I think you should include kegs. It is after all how a lot of homebrewers dispense beer.

You could try disabusing them of their prejudice.CJR wrote:I do understand that and I keg my brews too. The problem is that CAMRA being CAMRA...GrowlingDogBeer wrote:I think you should include kegs. It is after all how a lot of homebrewers dispense beer.

Give them some of your beer first, and then tell them it was bottled from your Corny!

If you're still seeking pics of bottles and/or mini-kegs here you go. ©Seymour

I don't think the CAMRA thought police will be keen on the John Smith's glass as it's served with the double abomination of CO2 and N2. In this case I agree with them.

A close up of a batch of old amber imperial pint bottles from a while back. Replacement seals made from silicone hose:

Cheers Seymour and MTW, it's much appreciated.
I'm already on the committee of my branch and everybody knows I keg my homebrew.

I agree with them too. The John Smith's glass was meant to be ironically funny.rpt wrote:I don't think the CAMRA thought police will be keen on the John Smith's glass as it's served with the double abomination of CO2 and N2. In this case I agree with them.

Cool, I'd love to read it. If there's an online version, would you mind sharing a link?CJR wrote:I've sent in my article with the pictures and credit to you all. Thanks for your assistance.

We're working on getting an online copy up. Apparently it's a lot more trouble to do than it should be.
If anybody is interested in getting a paper copy (or copies of any issues) then let me know and I'll see what can be done. So far there has only been one issue, with another in the process of being released at the end of the month.
