Supplier of CO2 in Surrey / Hampshire (small bottles)

Hi,

I'm looking for a supplier / refiller of small (either 2kg or 3.15kg) CO2 cylinders in Surrey / Hampshire.

There's a Gas Centre in Slyfied, Guildford, but they only do the 6kg bottles. I can't fit those in my fridge and don't really want to start drilling holes in it.

These people will deliver http://www.georgehannah.co.uk/info2.cfm?info_id=132581, but don't have any 3.15kg in stock at the moment (should have some soon), and a refill plus delivery is £40.

I'm considering getting a 2kg bottle from Norm, but can't find anywhere locally to fill it. I live near Guildford and work in Basingstoke, so near / between these would be ideal.

Andover Patio Centre does gas apparently. Not too far from Basingstoke, but there must be somewhere nearer to you.

Thanks - I'll give Andover a try. I sometimes need to go down to Romsey for work and it's not far out of the way. As you say, hopefully there's somewhere nearer.

Hobbyweld have more agents in Surrey now, but I don't think they do the small bottles.

Update - I've decided to buy a 2kg cylinder from Norm and have found a fire extinguisher place I pass on my way to work to fill it. The cost is £22 which seems a bit high but still much cheaper than S30s and very convenient for me. I found another fire extinguisher place in Basingstoke that was £30 for the refill, so it looks like fire extinguisher companies may be a good option for anyone else struggling to buy CO2.

The Andover patio centre sell 6kg bottles for £22. No deposit required.
It is a high price to pay for convenience.

I agree, but I can't fit a 6kg cylinder in the space I have. I can get 6kg from Guildford but unfortunately don't have the room.

That must be huge! The 6kg ones are large enough

Sure you're not talking about the weight of the cylinder ? (CO2 is sold as gas/liquid weight not cylinder weight)

Now thats got me thinking... Without looking what is stamped on it, it's as fat as a standard water fire extinguisher and as high as an under counter fridge.

Sounds like a 6kg cylinder. They do weight a lot when you take the cylinder weight into account.

Update - have decided to move up to a 6kg cylinder and discovered that Wrights off licence in Farnham do Air Liquide CO2 for £18, no deposit. Perfect!
