Questions RE Kegerator Taps & Corny Disconnects

Question 1, regarding taps - does anyone have any experience with this style of chinese made tap?

I also assume these Dalex-style taps are suitable for use, but they don't seem to come with a shank at the back. Would I be better off with these?

Question 2, regarding line & disconnects - I'm intending to use 3/16 line to my taps. Is there a John Guest fitting that takes me straight from the screw thread on a Corny disconnect to 3/16 push fit or do I have to go with one fitting on the screw thread to 3/8, some 3/8 line then a 3/8 to 3/16 reducer?

Question 3, regarding John Guest splitters - If I have a 3 way John Guest splitter like this:

Am I OK leaving one of the outputs of this splitter unconnected to a Keg as long as it is hooked up to a Gas in disconnect? Or am I safer just using a two way splitter or buying a manifold?

I can't help with the taps but I have read of positive experiences on this and other forums.
I have a couple of Perlicks and a Dalex style which both work well.

You can get reducers that don't require any additional tubing - http://beer-goggles.net/john-guest-stem ... -304-p.asp

With the Splitter, as long a you have a disconnect fitted to the unused outlet it should be OK.

For unused splitter outputs just use a blanking plug.

I've got 2 of those taps from the ebay link you mention, they are excellent quality. I sent him an email and he gave me a good deal on 2 taps and a beer tap bracket.

Were you connecting them to a T-Bar or direct to the line?
