Dark Day....

Post by Pinto » Tue Sep 15, 2015 9:14 pm

Looks like Crusader kegs either got fed up with the hastle or got greedy.....
Crusader Keg Website wrote: "...PLEASE NOTE: ALL PRODUCTS HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY OF 25 UNITS
All single keg purchases must now be direct to their official Partner, BrewUK.

All very well - but BrewUK are selling the kegs on at a 38% mark up ..... .... £74.99 vs £54.00 for the 20l keg and £59.00 vs £79.99 for the 30L

Looks like crusader are putting themselves out of the homebrew market....

The markup is not what it seems when you include postage :)

VAT is not included from Crusader so more like £65 plus carriage.

Suppose you buy 4 20L kegs. Previously it would have cost £289, now £300. Only a 4% increase. It's also now economic to buy them one at a time.

Aye, I saw this a couple of weeks ago. It is actually cheaper to buy one or two kegs now with all costs in.

S spear only and no personalisation though.

Although before Crusader had their shop website up and running I paid £120 delivered (by cheque) for 2 x 20L kegs
