Marks Inside Corny Keg

Post by surfer69 » Mon Oct 05, 2015 9:39 pm

Hi Guys
Relativelty new to the kegging, Got this keg and have cleaned it with Oxy and rinsed well. Checked inside for residue and saw these scratches or marks.
They don't seem raised but some have a roughness but I can't add to them or get rid of them with fingernails etc.

After a sanitise would it be OK to use or does anyone have any tips for extra cleaning ?
Thanks

See this thread.

Although your keg does look a bit rough, ss pasivates quickly, that is it forms an oxide on the suface. Because ss is an alloy.
The acid wash that manfactuers do, makes them uniform and cleans any rubbish off that has accumulated during the manfacturing.
