Any one with experience with these barrels? Are they they same as the sort you get from wilko etc?
Could they be used for beer under pressure with the addition of a lid with a valve etc. Cheers.

Sure looks like a 'budget' PB with a standard 2 1/2" lid.. but if its a disposable container for a flat cider?? looks could be deceiving..

a simple low pressure test is to fill with warm water within a cm of the brim and drop in a few scoops of laundry oxi before capping quickly, the o2 released in the tiny headroom will build up some pressure and if it fails NO, if not maybe ;)
ist update for months n months..
Fermnting: not a lot..
Conditioning: nowt
Maturing: Challenger smash, and a kit lager
Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store
Coming Soon Lots planned for the near future nowt for the immediate :(

Yeh they are the same, just a bit of colourant added in.. The only realy prob I find with these is cleaning inside. No hands just bottle brush and oxi.

Cheers. They aren't disposable. They have a 10 quid deposit! I can get a couple free. So I would just need to buy a s30 pin lid, the co2 bulbs and the bulb cap thinggy to get it working?
