Does anyone dry hop in Sankey kegs?
Does anyone dry hop in Sankey kegs?
As the title really i would assume they need to be in a bag to stop clogging, only other issue i can think of is getting them in and out of the small hole. Also how long would you leave the hops in the keg would they need to be removed or ken they just be left in there until the beer is drunk?

Don't think I would. Sounds like a pita getting them out afterwards. Plus, depending on how quickly you drink it, they could be in there for quite a long time.
Best wishes

I dry hop using pellets in Sankeys, I leave them in there, they settle out with any other trub.

I've done a 60L batch of blonde ale which will be going in 2x20l sanke kegs so may give it a go in one of them and see how it compares. I only have leaf though so will probably put in a hop bag and try to tie it to the cage of the spear to make pulling them out easier.
GrowlingDogBeer how much do usually put in the keg? i was thinking of about 10g of cascade for a 4% session blonde ale.

We'll i'm giving a go in one of the kegs with 12g of cascade. Once the keg was sealed up i then purged with C02. I don't even think it needed to be tied on as after dropping it in when tieing it up it was easy enough to retrieve.
