Parts to connect kegs onto 3/8 tap barb

Post by MTW » Thu Feb 11, 2016 10:26 am

My new kegerator taps have 3/8 barbs. Please can someone tell me what's the best combination of parts to connect my cornies to them? I want to be able to serve the fizzier styles as well as just regular ales, so I've got about 3m of 3/16 line per tap ready. I also have the srewed disconnects with JG 3/8 connectors on them, and 3/8-3/16 stem reducers into those, to get to the 3/16 line. It's really the tap end I'm unsure about, getting onto a 3/8 barb. The 3/8 line I have is the harder plastic stuff and is 3/8 in OD, not ID, and I'm wondering if I'm missing something anyway. Cheers

Put the line into near boiling water then slip it on, will be an airtight seal.

Excellent tip! Thanks Rob. I was wondering if I needed some of the flexible stuff, but then started to think that would end up in even more connections in the line.
