Hi All,

I bought this Bevpack for a reasonable price last week with the intent of stripping it down and using it for parts and the keg for my beer line cleaning.

Does anyone have an idea what it might be worth? Still in a good condition, all disconnect and party tap is CMB so good quality.

No idea , but its an ace bit of kit , perfect for taking to mate's house / party's etc !

to buy a diddy co2 bottle like that will set you back about £50+ from a tropical/marine fish supplier,

the smaller corny kegs can be found but are not that much cheaper than standard sized ones brought new, and tend to be snapped up pdq when offered 2nd use ..

It thats a charging regulator allowing you to refill the diddy co2 bottle from a bigger cylinder or regulate mixing of a syrup ?? then its outside my experience but a basic regulator will set you back £30...??

and a tap line and fittings could cost from £20

as a bundle designed specifically for mobile beer serving it carries some extra value too,
Its insulation may be great for keeping drinks at serving temps for an hour or two but i dont know if it looks upto the job of keeping the beer sufficiently cool enough to avoid fiddling with the pressure for any longer?? but that could be added to easily enough..

so its got some value probably worth £120+ to the right person

for cleaning the lines and taps though a 5 litre gardeners pump up spray bottle works well enough for when you dont simply use the removed kegs cleaner and sanitiser to do the job.

for home brewers regular spout cleaning is more important than line cleaning we dont change kegs x times between cleanings to introduce containments into what is effectively a closed system incorporating keg beer line and tap

use a clean sterile disconnect, line, and tap, with a clean and sanitised keg/dispense post and it should remain ok till the kegs dead as long as it remains connected imho

Thanks Fill, just had to show SWMBO your post Had one of those shopping expeditions last week where i went to collect a certain item and returned with allot more than i planned.

The bloke i bought it from used it a few times for promotional events and there's still some gas left in the bottle. I'm not to familiar with the diddy Co2 bottles, anything special about these and can i get them filled like any normal co2 bottle?

The backpack as well as keg is insulated and the manufacturer claims if the filling temperature is 2°C, there is a two degree loss per hour at 32°C. Not sure if i'll ever be able to test out at that temperature but i'll give it a try if we have a warm summers day.

I'm not to sure about the regulator though, it would appear from the product diagrams that it could be use for charging as well but will read up on it a bit more.

Thanks for the tip on the 5 litre garden pump up spray bottle, found another great thread with how another brewer built his and will go that route now.

Not sure yet Davesbc but will keep you in mind if i decide to sell it.
