I've got something similar (though with just a screw slot in the adjuster) and it works pretty well.
The scale on those gauges means you're always working right at the bottom end of the range, unfortunately, but that's not a real problem.

With a bit of care you can remove the original gauge and replace it with one a smaller range. I’ve swapped mine out for a 0-15 psi.
