I bought a used beer engine from someone on here for a very keen price (I find resisting a bargain rather hard ) and have finally got round to trying it out prior to using it to serve a beer at a party next weekend. It works fine, but there is small leak from the shaft (only pumping water to test it).
Is this normal?
It’s not going to cause me any problem as the party is almost outdoors, but it seems to me this could be sorted with a new washer or bush.
I think it’s a Harry Mason (probably older style) beer engine.

You will have to replace the piston rod seal. It probably looks similar to this one for Angram
Sommeliers recommend that you swirl a glass of wine and inhale its bouquet before throwing it in the face of your enemy.

Glad I'm not getting married, I've just read the guidance looks like a bundle of fun, and I couldn't even hold it in my own garden, even if it was big enough!!
