Tap spacing / arrangement

Post by Davo338 » Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:58 pm

Hi all. Just picked up a tall fridge for use as a kegerator. I’ll be able to fit CO2 and up to five kegs inside. I’m starting with my three existing kegs and will add two more in time. Just wondering what tap spacing / arrangements you’re using? I can’t decide whether to go for five in a row or three then add two in the future below. Cheers

I have 3 on mine that is being increased to 5, along with some holes in the side to allow for beer engines. Although I have (just) enough space on the front to squeeze the two between the other, I wish I had spaced them slightly wider in the first place to allow for easier expansion.
If you have a standard size width, I would say put 5 in a row.

Thanks mate that’s useful. Fridge is standard width of 600mm, so 5 in a row it is

No worries. Just consider the drip tray length too before drilling any holes.

Also try and figure out where the shanks are coming through the other side of the door. Make sure they won't bang in to anything on the inside.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Makes me laugh, because these suggestions are exactly the sort of thing that I’d mess up usually when I try anything remotely DIY!
