Good luck with it Doug, but i think if they catch it on they don't have to sell it to you, if they can show that it was an obvious typo then they can renege on the deal. Let us know if you get it for that price

Well its done and i have ordered 5 of the stout kits, wirh shipping comes to £15.45 and I have recieved the e mail reciept and paid by credit card. Am i right in thinking they can refyse to supply the goods but if they do send the goods then I have to pay the amount on the reciept.

I've just ordered the John Bull stout and the headcracker and have confirmed final total price (including devliery of £5.50) as £16.98.

I'll let you know if I get charged any more than that !!

The site has been updated now, will have to wait and see what happens. I wont mind if they refuse to supply at that price but would be well peed off if they change the amount of cash they take after giving me an e mail reciept.

The best chance of getting one of these deals is actually to not 'share the wealth' by telling everyone.
How many times have we got an email informing us about something like a flat screen TVs at dixons at £100 when they should be £1000. All of a sudden dixons gets alerted to the fact that people are buying 10 at a time and a that a model whch normally sells a few thousand a month suddenly sells 60 000 in a day .

Doug you should have been crafty and ordered just one cheapy kit kept stumm and seen if you got away with it, then come back onto the forum to gloat about it

The price is only actually an "Invitation to Treat" i.e. an opening price and there is nothing in the statute books to say you cannot haggle over price. Which means both you and the seller are at a bargening point.

It does work both ways though. Also if you was to go to court over it. Say if you was to buy 100 kits you prob already know it's a miss print so the court would throw your claim out. As with the Plaintiff V Dell where the misprint of £99.00 went on sale so the person brought 10. The judge ruled in favour of Dell as the Plantiff would have know it was not a genuine bargin but a misprint.


One Day if I am at a loose end I may do my weekly shop at the supermarket and haggle over everything in my basket.

So if i have said i would purchase at said price and then recieved a receipt confirming sale at said price that would be an agreement to purchase and haggling done? Whatever if they decide not to supply at the price shown then hey ho it was worth a punt.

The best you can do is grab a bargin.

I am not sure about the legality as E&OE used to be on the bottom of invoices if you have E&OE I think your home and dry.
