My next kit I brew I want to bottle the beer so I can transport the beer to my caravan so I have a decent supply for those long weekends in the sun.
Wil the sediment which will be shaken through the beer during transit harm the beer in any way and is there a method of removing the sediment before bottling?
sediment in bottles transport query
In my limited experience with travelling I bottled it having used s04 and after an hour down the (quiet) A roads of cheshire/shropshire it had only shaken it up a bit, the top 3/4 was still bright. The next night it was as normal. But to answer your questions specifically:
No.Will the sediment which will be shaken through the beer during transit harm the beer in any way
There is a method I believe of conditioning the beer then transferring it cold to a bottle so it retains some fizz when it gets to drinking temperature but it seems a faff and less controllable than conditioning it in the vessel from which it is to be dispensed.is there a method of removing the sediment before bottling?
