this thread has today inspired me to walk to sale wilkos, my local one at stretford just has the basics, geordie kits, youngs kits and a few brew buddy kits, syphon tubes and hydrometers, but at sale they have the full range. got a wherry kit £15(thank you, cheapest ANYWHERE) a geordie lager (personal staple of my kit brewing) and some beer enhancer. in all £24 give or take a few pence. the only problem was i had to spend 10p on a Wilko's "bag for life" coz i thought the normal crappy plastic ones wouldn't take the strain.

Better for the environment anyway. Just remember to take it with you on your next run

I'm drinking one of those, I thought it was going to be a dud when I made it up as the smell was nowhere near as strong as the John Bull kit I normally use. It's turned out alright in the end though, made up to 4 gallons and 7%.
