16 days in fv is this brew gonna make it?

Hi I done a Geordie mild kit on the 06/01/08 using geordie beer kit enhancer and rehydrated the yeast that came with the kit the OG was 1040.
All started well was bubbling like a trooper for the first couple of days then stopped took a hydrometer reading on day 8 and it was 1022 so I left it a couple of days in which I think I have had every illness known to man and then some so forgot about the brew until today took a hydro reading its still at 1018.... 16 days on so I gave it a stir and added half a tsp of yeast vit.
So what are the possibilitys on this brew being drinkable I have no sence of smell and cannot chance tasting it because of all the pharmecuticles in my system so am just hoping Ive been able to save it...

Any Ideas?
