Some posts advocate adding sugar/spraymalt - some sya leave it be.

Will this brew stand on its own or should I add some dark spraymalt - if so, how much?

Do you want to make the kit up stronger than it comes?

Then stand alone it is then!

I prefer stronger ABV beers as I prefer the taste (it's not a drunken thing; if I want to "tie-one-on" I'll drink scotch) but, never "stouted" before and am wary.

Everything I read says this is a tasty brew so, if it needs it, I'll adjust it the 2nd tiome I make it...

I made this kit as per instructions with no extra sugars and it turned out at 4.0%
