Feedback to Kit manufactuters?

Post by jogger321 » Sat Jun 03, 2006 6:05 pm

I was just wondering if anyone has ever been asked or had the opportunity to give the manufacturer of a kit any feedback on their products or ideas on improvements?

I did two years ago when I got thoroughly confused with the instructions on a York Brewery Terrier bitter and as a result wrecked the brew (It said stir in primary fermenation each day and i did it too vigorously)...I wrote to them and told them and listed a more user friendly instructions...Guess what..they ignored it..the instructions are still the same and some poor chap on another forum the other day did exactly the same and said he would never buy it again!

My mind was prompted because yesterday I bought a couple of Brewpak microbrewery kits from a well known brew shop in birmingham...Apparently Brupaks won't speak to him because he "discounts" and he has to buy via a wholesaler..

There is no opportunity for me to contact Brewpaks because their web site has been "under contruction" for 2 years and there is no E mail contact..so I can't tell them what I think of their kits.

..And the home brew constantly moans it is in decline..I wonder why!

After all the hard selling you've done for Brupaks, I'm surprised it's not "ask Daft"! And they should send you a load of kit - they owe you

I've contacted Brupaks and asked them to get involved in the discussion that goes on amongst us enthusiasts here..be interesting to see if they reply...a golden opportunity for them to promote their products and give advice IMHO
