what next for a newbie?

hi people, :)
just bottled my first brew. muntons conkerwood. looks and smells great.
anyway. suggestions for my next brew please. the muntons was approx £20 for the kit. was looking to try mid price range £10-12 ish. like real ale with decent strength. any suggestions/recommendations would be welcome. Cheers.

Is it just a matter of personal taste as to which colour spray malt to use? Does it effect taste and colour?
