I've bottled my beer and as instructed put some sugar in the bottles prior to filling them - one bottle kinda my 'test bottle' I just opened (after it having sat for since wednesday) and its basically flat...
Does the carbonation increase over time - i.e. in the next 3 weeks or so will it become fizzier or is this as good as its going to get?!
Carbonation
Yer, the twin lever capper is what I have - where you have a thread and a wingnut at the top which alters how far down teh bottle neck the grips go etc - it just seems tricky to use - but yes, on say a stella bottle it worked well, but on some of the ale bottles the 'ridge' was either too low down or too slim to get a good purchase.
Had a sneaky cup of my bevvy today. Was a 5 days out of the fermentor and had been in the kitchen clearing. Didn't come out of the barrel to well, was expecting abit more fizz as well. Gonna give it another few days though until its banished down the cellar for a couple of weeks !!
It was pretty good though so had to treck down to the shop and part with some hard earned cash
