Munton's IPA - Second tasting
Munton's IPA - Second tasting
For anyone who has been following my first brew attempt, or who is interesting in the Munton's IPA, last night I opened a 2nd bottle.
It was 3 weeks since bottling, and I have to say, I am really pleased with the beer. Perhaps a fraction sweet, but that was to be expected with the issues I had, but I am well chuffed with results.
Full details of the tasting, and a picture of what to me looks like an awesome looking beer, are on my blog: http://bellsbeer.wordpress.com/
Thanks everyone for your help on here.

Thanks for the comments. I'm pleased it worked out too - 2 months of effort with homebrew and this is the first reward - Id have been miffed if it didnt turn out well.
mysterio, doing the blog has been brilliant. I always know exactly where to look to find out what I did last time, or when i took the previous reading etc, plus I get a few people reading it and hopefully getting some benefit from it themselves - very rewarding

I have now had the 3rd tasting, after 4 weeks, and its much as it was after 3 weeks. Pleasant but slightly shallow. There is another pic on the blog. Hopefully another month will see the deeper flavours develop. (I'm comparing this, my first brew, to the Munton's IPA that a mate did, which ended up beautifully complex in flavour - his best home-brewed beer to date.)
