Decided to celebrate beginning my first AG mash tonight by trying one or two of my conditioning brews. The Fixby has been around the longest but isn't clear yet. This Steam however was fined and clear hours after bottling, and was looking crystal in the bottles.

So how is it? Well, it's the brightest, nicest tasting beer I've ever made! No enormous hop nose but a lovely balanced malt/hop taste, gentle draft levels of carbonation, a rewarding dry finish and as clean as a whistle.

I think I may have to have a few tonight if the brewing goes well.

Cheers JBK!

Thought I was trying them about a week early to be honest, but had four in the end and they really hit the spot.
