Anybody Brewed Coopers Pale Ale

Post by shepp » Fri Apr 04, 2008 11:31 pm

I am thinking of my next brew which will be nice chilled for the summer.
While in Adelaide a couple of years back, the home of Coopers, I enjoyed many pints of Coopers Pale Ale which is served chilled and cloudy. It is by far the most popular beer in this city with over half the beer drinkers drinking it.
I wondered if anybody else has tried brewing it from a kit and also what hop do you think would be good added to it?
I tried it here from a bottle this week and it was pretty good.
Cheers

Made the Indian Pale Ale using Brewing Suigar and no adjustments -thought it was very good one of the best I'd made. :D

Kegged a coopers pale ale 3-4 weeks ago. Made it up with 1kg of chinese rice maltose. Added a quick tea made of boiling water and some goldings.

Cleared well and very hoppy, which I like. My first coopers and i like it. I have a coopers pilsner in the FV atm.

I think i'll use a beer enhancer and steep and dry hop small amounts of cascade.
I found this site the other day www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/ , it has some good stuff about coopers kits.
