Flat Brown Ale

Post by goochio » Sat Apr 26, 2008 5:44 pm

Primed my brown ale last week with black treacle and left it in a warm place until today. I've now moved it into the garage, and have just run off a tiny bit which is FLAT! and cloudy.

I have used a new barrel which has the none C02 cap on it. Is it worth replacing it with a C02 cap and gassing. Or shall I prime it again with sugar instead?

Was trying to get away from using sugar as I keep getting a slightly tangy taste with my brews.

I have reprimed with sugar now and changed the cap. The cap seems to have been the problem.
Hope it doesnt affect the taste too much.
