How do I acheive a higher alcohol content?

Hi Guys

which is the best method to up the alcohol content of your brew? Do I reduce the water content? increase sugar? any advice would be much appreciated. Im just in the process of doing my first kit so would like to experiment with the next one.

Also if possible could someone recommend a good site to pull together some better brewing kit from.

The best way is to reduce the brew length, I.E. the amount of water you add.
