got 2 kit s today 'geordie yorkshire bitter' :D ( last brew was lovely stuff) and a 'youngs harvest bitter'
going to use a medium spray malt on the geordie kit but i only got a dark spray malt left for the youngs kit,is this ok or would i be better off using normal household sugar
thanks for any help :D

If you make them at the same time you could split the spray malt 50/50...

I think it would just be "different". It's always worth experimenting, as far as i'm concerned  It would probably be better than throwing a dark spray malt in a bitter as you would end up with something that resembles a stout.

thanks for the advice stevezx7r if i used all the dark DME in the youngs kit and it came out like a porter that would be excellent

As a thought, why not buy some hops to add extra flavour and aroma? At about £4 for 100g you could throw in say 28g (1 ounce) once it's fermented, have a look here - http://www.murphyandson.co.uk/BrewingAr ... pSpecs.htm for some ideas of what might go well with what you have

I used to add extra hops with my kits to "spice" things up a bit as I found that was the key ingredient the cheaper cans seemed to lack.
