Hi Toolbag and welcome- am new to the site as well but have just kegged my first brew-woodfords wherry-which seems fairly popular- and was a trouble free process. One thing i have picked up was clean, clean and just as its all bright and shiny clean again, good luck, Ken

filling one keg is much easier and less hassle than filling 20 bottles.

A lot less sanitising to do!

As Kenny says, make sure everything that comes into contact with your beer is sanitised. That doesn't mean scrubbing the hell out of plastic fermenters, just soak everything overnight in a thin bleach solution and rinse then soak for 30 mins in sodium met (or similar) and rinse. If you've already bought a kit beer get it ready by steeping in hot water to soften the contents. Now just follow the rest of the instructions on the can apart from where it says to use normal table sugar - substitute this for Spray malt. It won't be the end of the world if you do use table sugar but you will end up with better ale (if that's what your making).

If you have any questions/problems just let us know, someone will be along to answer.
