CO2 bottles

Post by frederick » Wed Jun 25, 2008 4:34 pm

Hi all... I recently purchased a Widget system but now find that I cannot obtain replacement CO2 cylinders.... all I can get are the little bulbs which I think are really a waste of time.
Can anyone suggest where I can obtain the larger cylinders for the Widget system. I have tried my local Wilkinsons and Boots but they only stock the small bulbs.I believe I can get the old one refilled but the nearest PO is miles away... is this the ONLY answer??
Help appreciated..... Frederick

Hi Daab... I had better make myself clear... it is the large (Widget) size CO2 bottles that I would like... I can get the little ones ok but it is the large ones for the Widget system that I want and cannot get. I reckon it is a con because they sell you the system complete with the large bottle but then will not supply via the post in spite of the fact that they supplied one origonally.

I know it doesn't help you source one but generally the places that sell widget cylinders take the empty ones back and you then only pay a refill charge rather than the whole cost of the cylinder (about £5 vs £20). So there may be advantages to actually take it back in person unless the distance is too far.

Hi all.... I think I have sourced a couple of suppliers...Stonehelm Gas and possibly Home Brew. Will try them.
Take care all.... Frederick
