Now I know this is hardly a new question, I have done a search and can't seem to find a straight answer.

I have some fuggles hopps which i am itching to use.question is whats the best way of adding them. Boil them when making the kit or or whilst in the keg which i presume is dry hopping.

Never added them to a kit before but I would be tempted to dry hop them. I dont think boiling the contents of a kit is good due to you boiling some of the flavour out. I could be overly worried though.

Best bet would be to boil the hops with some extra water and the suger / malt extract you top it up with. Of course this would only be any good for the single can kits.

Just a thought.
You could bring your kit up to 80c then add some hops and let it cool again. Then dry hop the rest.
We add alot of hops in all grain brewing at the 80c while cooling from the boil.

In my experience too.. you want to be careful how much you use when you're dry hopping. If you add more than one cone of challenger straight to your pressure vessel, it might be too much!

there are 2 ways i use hops, firstly there is the dry hop in the keg, and due to the variety and amount this is a case of trial and error (a slack handful in a muslin bag is a good start).

then there is the other way...

I pour the kit into the Fv and then fill the can up with a kettle of water and pour it into a large saucepan, i then add the extra fermentables to this (and perhaps another kettle of water) then i bring it to the boil and add a handfull of this and boil for 10 mins, then i turn off the gas and add a further handfull which i leave for a further 10mins and then strain this through a seive into the FV with the can contents in.

Mix this through to disolve and then add the further water.

i find this method better but it is more arseing around.

Sounds like (almost) partial mash :)

I would suggest adding an ounce (28 grammes) to the already fermented beer - dry hopping. Leave it for as long as possible i.e. for a 1040 beer leave for 4 weeks +. This should add a good fresh aroma taste to the finnished beer.

Alternatively, as has been suggested, put say an ounce in the can the wort came from, top up with boiling water and leave till cool. This will add bitterness to the beer.

And, if you want another option, do both of the above for a fuller rounder flavour profile.
