Coopers IPA - Priming?

Post by mattamyg » Wed Jul 16, 2008 2:45 pm

Hi

My Coopers IPA is still fermenting away, around 1018 at the mo from 1042, so still a way to go.

I made an ordering mistake re fermenting sugars and ended up using liquid malt extract.

I am now thinking of priming as I will bottle this one, Its brewing in an FV with a bottom tap, I have a bottling pipe thing so that’s easy.

Question is how much priming, what to use and rather than putting it in the bottles can you mix it in the FV without disturbing the yeast?

Would light Dry Malt extract do the trick? Or a solution of the Liquid Malt Extract I have already used?

(I plan to brew in the bucket and then siphon to the tap FV with the sugar in next time!)
