Having just kegged my Milestone IPA and tried a half just to see I have found it is overly sweet. It fermented from 1040 down to 1010 over 7 days I also left it in the FV for a further 3 days to give it a little more time to work on the complex sugars and settle before I kegged it.
I am thinking of drawing off a litre and boiling that with a good handfull of the Styrian Goldings I have to give it a bit more of a hopyness.
So I will boil for 10 min then cover and cool to the temp of the keg then carefully pour this into the keg through a sanitised strainer I shall also ensure that I keep a layer of co2 over the beer to stop and air getting to it.
Or I could just add a flavar pack I picked up ?
Thoughts ?
Very Sweet beer

Your hopping suggestion will work (though you won't get much bitterness extracted with a 10 minute boil, plus you will boil off the alcohol in the sample; but you could alternatively try dry hopping it - you'll get a lovely hop flavour that way.
Boil a piece of muslin for 5 minutes (to sterilise it), wrap 10g of goldings (or similar) hops in it and tie it up. Drop this into the barrel (you will have to depressurise and top up with CO2 - assuming you have an injector fitted to your barrel).
