I think you are asking if DME is better for priming than brewers sugar or plain old tate & Lyle. The answer is no, brewers sugar is better for priming in my opinion as is plain old table sugar and they are both cheaper. I use table sugar myself.

For priming it makes no real noticable difference. Use whatever's handy. I normally use Brewers sugar.

Same here.. Brewer's Sugar dissolves quicker too, and is only a quid a kilo anyway.

Now that ye sugar question's been answered; The garage ..... I'm truly blessed here. My 'Cellar' is the room through this door. Through the kitchen - 80 F or so, when I light the range! Then through the little room with the earth floor (?! Seriously!). Then in to where I keep my kegs. No light in there just now - must sort that out.

But see the luxury? I can just get out of this chair and stagger off for a beer. No more bother than drinking in a bigger bar - or going for a pee in a smaller one.

Think covered and shielded Walk Way :D If ye haven't sorted it out yet, it'll be a god send when the winds and rains set in.

Meanwhile; If I have a serious call of nature, during such a nights weather? Well, I didn't get my Handle out of a hat! But I'd as soon as not go through that just to fetch a pint indoors
