I've done Headcracker but only as the 20/24 pint kit, but it does work by doubling it up with another one. Use both the yeasts supplied with the two kits, rehydrate the yeast and make sure you aerate the wort well before pitching the yeast. This will ensure you get your 7.5%, as many folk (including me) reported that it didn't get to it's proper FG and therefore short on alcohol, good luck.

:-k Garth; Forgive the bone idleness betrayed by this question, but; Doesn't that (doubling up and cutting down) make for a rather 'reassuringly expensive' brew?

So says he, about to reach for yet another can of expensive, gnats piss Guinness ..... And I should think, if it hit anything like it's supposed to, that stuff would scare me half to death anyway! I think about 5.50% would be my limit for anything I'd want to sit draining all night

I reckon so Ditch, maybe that's why I never did it. I wasn't overly impressed with the standard 24 version anyway.

But it has been done, I remember reading it.
