My local homebrew shop stocked all the Brewferm kits but not the Candi Sugar and told me to use normal cane instead. I ignored their probably worthy advice and decided to order two 500g bags from hop and grape instead! Used it with my Brewferm Diabolo mix earlier on today and it was a bit of a bitch to dissolve but we got there in the end and in it went.

Everywhere I turn seems to advise the use of Candi in Belgian style brews as opposed to any other sugar in an ideal world. The postage fees are heavy for what is essentially two bags of sugar and they should probably be less arbitrary when assigning their fees but I suppose this is part of the mark up and intended to make the purchaser splash out a little more to justify the delivery. I can't tell you if it's worth it yet having never sampled with or without but come the end of Dec when I break open a few bottles I'll let you know my thoughts.
Planning - Not for a long while

Fermenting - I'm Done

Bottle Maturing - Hobgoblin, Fullers ESB, American Stout, TOP, Fullers London Porter, Bandini Black IPA

Drinking - Still...Whiskey
