Crusty Bits!!

Evening all.
When my Coopers lager has started slowing down with the 1st fementation, should i not be concerned with the dried foam / head that sticks to the top of the lid of the FV.
When i open the lid, bits of this dried crust fall into the fermented wort. Does this harm / infect the brew. I read all the time about how everything must be kept spotless.

You want to try to minimize it dropping in but it shouldn't effect it and certainly shouldn't infect the brew.
