I'm off on holiday for a week tomorrow and have a Tooheys lager kit fermenting in the cellar (with a heat belt). The brew was slow to start fermenting (about 3 days in) and as such has only reached 1014 after 9 days (the instructions state that the brew should reach 1006 before bottling).
Being new to home brewing I'm not sure what to do, should I bottle or leave the brew for another week?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks for your help.
To bottle or not to bottle.....
Re: To bottle or not to bottle.....
Leave it for another week!
The longer you leave it the better. Im also a newbie to this, but thats one of the first things I learned.
Once it reaches its desired SG, it will stay there. Another week should see it good. Ready to bottle when you get back!
Have a nice time!
