can any one tell me what is likely to happen if i were to add say 250gm of dark muscovado sugar to a woodfordes wherry
kit that im planning to make tonight?

It would up the alcohol by about 0.5%-ish, and might add a nice flavour at that sort of level.

You have to be careful with strongly flavoured sugars, but I guess that sort of quantity should be okay. :-k

Not much with sugars, but I almost always add hops to kits by a combination of steeping and boiling, and sometimes add steeped grains.

It should be fine,as Sparky says, at the level your talking about it will up the abv and add a little extra flavour. I've tried most of the standard sugars and the darker (muscovado/demerera etc) ones add a bit of extra depth to a bitter or especially to a stout :wink:
