Dry Hopping - which? how much? and how?

Post by DonnyDan » Tue Feb 03, 2009 10:50 pm

Hi,
Sorry if this has been covered already, I'm new to the forums. I have some Goldings and some Fuggles which I would like to add to my next beer (EDME bitter - I really enjoyed the last one of these I did but there was something missing....hoping it was hops). Could someone please point me in the right direction of how much to use? Should I use both types and does anyone have any suggestions on which method should I use?

Thanks, any advise would be really helpful

Dan

Either would be good, although my preference would be to go for the goldings. 15-20g into the fermenter after the initial ferment has settled down, keg it and taste it if you like/want it even more hoppy you could then add a similar amount to the keg before it carbonates.
